NEWBURY — Chief Douglas Janvrin is pleased to announce that he and other members of the Newbury Fire Department will soon conduct an on-site inspection of the department’s new ladder truck.
Members of the Newbury Fire Department will travel to the KME factory in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania, to carry out a thorough inspection of the department’s brand new KME 103 Tuff Truck ladder apparatus.
Construction of the new truck has progressed well, and the group of Newbury Fire representatives will visit the factory in the coming days to see it firsthand. While there, they will ensure that the truck meets all of the department’s specifications in order to prepare for final delivery of the vehicle.
“This visit is an important part of the process that will ultimately result in our department adding a state of the art piece of equipment to our fleet,” Chief Janvrin said. “We’re all looking forward to adding it to our department so that we can further enhance our level of service to the community.”
Once it passes its inspection, the truck will be delivered to Bulldog Fire Apparatus in Woodville, where it will be lettered and outfitted with equipment prior to final delivery and training.
